China, Japan and South Korea are relatively new markets for the Bulgarian wine industry. EU-funded Projects like Enjoy, it’s from Europe! aim to promote high-quality wines regions with Protected Geographical Indication(PGI).
Numbers show that the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak significantly influenced the export numbers in China and South Korea, while Japan had almost the same level of import of Bulgarian wines. With the aid of EU funding for promotion and positioning of Thracian Lowlands wine in Eastern Asian markets, we are eager to see the results of joint efforts in the upcoming years!
